Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: The Fundraising & Donor Relations Chair is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors and supporters. They identify prospective donors, engage with current donors, and develop stewardship strategies to ensure ongoing donor engagement and satisfaction. The Fundraising & Donor Relations Chair seeks to understand donor interests and motivations to tailor engagement strategies and recognition efforts.
Fundraising Campaigns and Events: The Fundraising & Donor Relations Chair plans and executes fundraising campaigns and events to generate financial support. They develop compelling fundraising messages, coordinate campaign logistics, and engage stakeholders in fundraising activities. The Fundraising & Donor Relations Chair oversees fundraising event planning, sponsorship opportunities, and donor recognition initiatives.
Grant Writing and Proposal Development: The Fundraising & Donor Relations Chair leads the development and submission of grant proposals and applications to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities. They research grant opportunities, collaborate with program leaders to gather relevant information, and ensure that proposals align with funder requirements and the organization's strategic priorities.
